The National Pride Service was founded in 2025 because all the current leaders in the United States federal government have failed biology and history harder than a frat bro who never attended class. They appear to have forgotten, despite well-documented scientific and historical consensus, that intersex, transgender, non-binary, and queer people are in fact PEOPLE. While under the influence of this fascist amnesia, they updated thousands of government records to delete mentions of LGBTQ+ and other marginalized Americans.

Fear not! The National Pride Service is here to assist as many United States federal agencies as we can in maintaining correct records on Americans with marginalized identities. For as long as our leaders are suffering from fascist amnesia, we will commit to carrying the burden of remembering the existence of marginalized Americans for them.

Our mission is to restore and preserve unimpaired the records of the contributions marginalized Americans have made to our history and to celebrate those contributions with PRIDE!

If you're wondering why we can just republish all this content, it's because nearly every document the United States federal government produces is in the public domain. The National Park Service website states: "Copyright law does not protect 'any work of the U.S. Government' where 'a work prepared by an officer or employee of the U.S. Government as part of that person's official duties' (See, 17 U.S.C. §§ 101, 105). Thus, material created by the NPS and presented on this website, unless otherwise indicated, is generally considered in the public domain. It may be distributed or copied as permitted by applicable law."
